Japan projects decline in log imports, mixed trends for lumber in 2025
The Japan Lumber Importers Association has released its projections for imported wood products in 2024 and the first half of 2025. The volume of imported logs is expected to decrease by 13% in 2024, while lumber imports are set to rise by 17.2%. The Japan Lumber Importers Association has released its projections for imported wood products in 2024 and the first half of 2025. The volume of imported logs is expected to decrease by 13% in 2024, while lumber imports are set to rise by 17.2%.
