German softwood lumber exports up 21%

In the first months of 2014, Germany's softwood lumber exports rose in volume by 21% against the same period of 2013, according to the latest figures issued by Eurostat. The total export volume reached 1,01 million cubic metres in January-February, indicating a good 2014 start for the German sawmills after a sluggish 2013.
