Russia: Softwood lumber prices drop by 22%
Softwood lumber sales from Russia to foreign markets went up by 5%, to 22.4 million m3 in 2015. Still, the average value decreased by $753 million, at a total amount of $2.7 billion and registered a general decrease of 22% in dollar terms, according to WhatWood. The same statistics show that China increased the deliveries by 18%, reaching a total amount of 9.8 million m3, but the import value decreased by 8% to $973 million.
