The Czech Republic bans pine and spruce logs harvesting
On September 14th, 2017, the Czech Ministry of Agriculture has banned the harvesting of spruce and pine which doesn't come from storm felling or from beetle infestation. The measure is applied until December 2017 and concerns all forest possessions in the Czech Republic. The Ministry thus hopes to rapidly clear all the wood resulted from natural disasters, a process which it is hoped to end by end of March 2018.
