Kastamonu starts large MDF and flooring plant in Russia

The Turkish company Kastamonu Entegre, one of the world's largest producers of wood-based panels, launched on 24 September a large mill in Russia, in the Alabuga special economic zone (Tatarstan). As reports, the investment amounted US$ 600 million.    In the first stage, the company will produce at the mill around 475,000 m3 of MDF and 20 million m2 of wooden flooring.    Moreover, in 2016, Kastamonu will also open a 725,000 m3 chipboard facility there, while in 2017-2018, the start of a 575,000 m3 OSB ...
