Sonae Arauco is reinforcing its operations in Beeskow, Germany, with an investment of approximately €6 million in a new MDF sanding line. The aim is to enhance product quality and secure long-term production capacity. Construction work is already underway, with commissioning scheduled for August.
The investment is part of the company’s broader strategy of continuous process improvement and the implementation of advanced technologies across its sites. It also underscores Sonae Arauco’s confidence in the long-term potential of the Beeskow facility and its local workforce.
“This investment is a clear commitment to the site, especially in uncertain times,” said Robert Rösner, Plant Manager at Sonae Arauco Beeskow. “We focus on strategic investments, ongoing improvements, and innovation. Our goal is to meet customer needs in the best possible way while strengthening our position in the market.”
The new sanding line follows a series of upgrades at the Beeskow site. In 2020, the company completed a major €50 million investment in a state-of-the-art particleboard production line. The new MDF equipment adds to this development, reinforcing Beeskow’s role as a key location in Sonae Arauco’s European production network.
