Germany: Pellet prices on the rise at the beginning of the year
The new year begins with moderately increased prices for wood pellets in Germany. Compared to December 2019, the price per tonne (t) rose by 1.8 percent to EUR 262.03 in January 2020 (for a purchase quantity 6 t). That is 1.2 percent less than in January 2019. A kilogram of pellets costs 26.20 cents, a kilowatt hour (kWh) of heat costs 5.24 cents.
