German woodworking machinery industry reports turnover decrease

The turnover of the German woodworking machinery industry in 2013 fell from the previous year by 5%, says VDMA (the German Woodworking Machinery Manufacturers' Association). Consequently, the production of stationary woodworking machines has decreased in value in 2012 from EUR 2.3 billion to EUR 2.2 billion in 2013.    Nevertheless, the industry reported an optimistic start for the year 2014.
