Finland’s softwood lumber shipments rise sharply, led by Egypt, UK and Asian rebound
Finland’s softwood lumber exports reached 7.67 million m³ in the first ten months of 2025, up 27% from a year earlier, supported by strong demand in Egypt, Japan, the United Kingdom, China, Israel, and Saudi Arabia. Export value rose even faster—34% to €1.92 billion—as prices strengthened in several destinations and volumes expanded across key regions.
