Finland reduced the export of timber products by 7%
in January-May 2022, wood imports in Finland amounted to 2.43 million m³. On an annualized basis, the figure decreased by 55%. In the total volume of imported timber, 46% were pulpwood, 36% - chips and 3% - logs. Compared to the same period last year, pulpwood imports decreased by 61%. Imports of wood chips decreased by 53%, and logs - by 66%. In May 2022, wood imports amounted to 0.28 million m³.
