US softwood lumber production up 3.7%
U.S. sawmills produced 30.193 billion board feet (bbf) of softwood lumber in the first 11 months of 2016, an increase of 3.7% from 29.122 bbf a year earlier.    Western U.S. sawmills accounted for 12.829 bbf of the 11-month total, a gain of 2.8% from 12.484 bbf a year earlier, while Southern U.S. sawmills contributed 15.983 bbf – up 4.4% from 15.303 bbf, , the Western Wood Products Assn. reported in its monthly Lumber Track report.    Output in November was 2.583 ...
