US lumber prices still on an upward trend at the end of September
Trading in framing lumber in the US slowed down during the end of September. Yet, the decrease didn't register important changes in the upward trend in prices, for most species. A number of species set or approached record highs. While that concerned buyers, strong mill order files eased their angst for the short term. However, securing shipments for sooner than the latter half of October was difficult and a primary source of frustration.
