US lumber prices fell after 5 weeks of consecutive growth
After several weeks of consistent growth, the US lumber prices fell quite considerably last week. On average, lumber prices fell by $5.   Framing lumber traded quietly at a limited-volume pace similar to the prior week. The lack of activity weighed on producers, who pressed more urgently to move production. Price trends were mixed, but downward pressure was clearly evident in some species, particularly Western and Eastern S-P-F.
