US lumber prices drop for six consecutive weeks
While softness prevailed in prices, trading in US framing lumber picked up modestly amid drier and warmer weather in some markets. Increased demand was mostly reported among distributors, wholesalers, and other buyers, while orders were slower to reach back to the mills.    Even so, producers picked up on the modestly brighter tone, and some fielded enough orders to take a firmer stance in late trading.
