UPM to permanently close paper machine in Germany
UPM is planning the permanent closure of paper machine 10 at the Plattling site, which will reduce the annual production capacity for coated publication papers by about 155,000 tonnes in Europe. It is planned to continue paper production on machines 1 and 11 at UPM Plattling.    The plan would affect a total of 160 positions at the Plattling site. The employee negotiations and negotiations with the employee representatives will commence in the month of April in accordance with national legislation in Germany. It is planned to close the paper machine after completion of the employee ...
