The price for wood pellets in Germany on the rise due to low temperatures
Wood pellets price in Germany increased in January, due to the low temperatures. Thus, the national average for wood pellets has reached EUR 251.34/tonne, 2.4% more than in December 2017 and 3.8% more than in January last year.    A kilogram of wood pellets now costs 25.13 cents, while one kilowatt hour (kWh) of heat from wood pellets costs 5.03 cents. The price advantage for fuel oil is currently 18%, compared to 14% for natural gas, according to the German Energy Wood and Pellet Association e. V. (DEPV).    ...
