The German wood industry reports slowdown in growth

The German wood industry recorded in the first half of the year a slight increase in sales of 1.2% as compared to the corresponding period of 2014. Overall sales reached EUR 16.6 billion (H1/2014: 16.4 billion). The Federation of the German timber industry (HDH) reports that the economic situation has slowed notably, taking into account that in the same period of 2014, the turnover of the sector registered an increase of 4.1%.
