JAF Group completes sale of the veneer production site in Braşov, Romania, to the Belgium-based flooring manufacturer Unilin. Selling the veneer production activities in Braşov does not affect the neighbouring JAF Group's Holver branch’s sales and production of sawn and thermally modified timber on site in Braşov. The far-reaching distribution activities related to veneers at the trading centre in Braşov also remain in place, meaning that both the Braşov site and the main veneer hub in Salzburg-Aupoint, together with the other national and international branches, will continue to represent an important mainstay of the JAF Group’s veneer sales. The remaining Holver branches in Romania are not affected by the changes and will continue to operate as usual. The JAF Group, known in Austria as J. u. Unilin signs licensing agreements with Chinese companies
Unilin's IP division has extended the license agreements of the following Chinese WPC manufacturers, giving these companies additional protection on the US Floors Coretec® patents for their respective WPC product lines: Jiangsu Zhengyoung, Anhui Hanhua, SS Floor, Changzhou Sennuo, Changzhou Jinuo, Nanjing MGM, Shanghai Jinka, Huzhou Beiyakesi, Nan Sing Plastics, and Jiangsu Tongsheng Earlier this year, a similar agreement was reached by Unilin with Novalis. In addition to these agreements, Unilin's IP division also reached settlements with the Chinese manufacturers, Zheijiang Kingdom and Changzhou Lingdian, to reinstate their licenses after being terminated for serious breaches of their license agreements.
