Södra raises the price for spruce timber
The Swedish sawmill industry's demand for wood continues to increase despite the global economic situation being uncertain due to the pandemic. ''The demand for raw materials continues to increase even though we see a great deal of uncertainty in our surrounding world due to the increasing spread of coronavirus infection. The conditions for our production in the forests are currently good and we continue to have a high focus on the spruce bark beetle infestations in our members' forests,'' says Olof Hansson, business area manager at Södra Skog.
