Schelling acquires German IMA
The Austrian technology leader of cut to size solutions Schelling has acquired the German IMA from Munich, a specialist for automated edge processing technology. With this deal, both companies aim to lead in automation technology for the panel processing and furniture industries. The two companies already cooperate for 25 years in the form of joint trade worldwide fairs, and executing many large scale installations and projects. While Schelling is recognised as the worldwide leader in cut to size machines and plants for wood panels and other materials, IMA is a highly regarded specialist for edge processing technology and systems for the furniture and component manufacturing industries.
