German authorities approve Binderholz’s takeover of Klenk Holz
Austrian Binderholz Group has recently closed the transaction for the German sawmill- and wood processing company Klenk Holz AG located in Oberrot. The contract was signed on 28 September 2017 and Binderholz plans to expand and modernize the three Klenk locations Oberrot, Baruth and Wolfegg in the short term. Through the acquisition, the steadily growing demand for sawn timber of the further processing sites of Binderholz shall be ensured. The German Federal Office has approved for the takeover on October 25th. Now, 94.79% of Klenk Holz AG's shares are taken over by Binderholz, while the remaining 5.21% will be taken over by Franz Binder Private Foundation The sale was closed on the 6th of November and thus, Binderholz becomes one of the biggest sawmill companies in Europe. Seven sawmills in Austria, Germany and Finland process about 5 million cubic metres of logs.... Continue reading →
