Masisa to sell a Mexican particleboard plant to Duraplay
Masisa announced the sale of its particleboard plant located in Chihuahua, Mexico, to the Mexican company Duraplay. The transaction was completed for a total amount of US$18 million. The sale of the Chihuahua Plant, which primarily produces commodity products, is part of the company's long-term strategy to focus on selling products and services with added value. Interview with Thomas Leissing on Egger Group’s future development in South America
Following the announcement made by the Austrian company Egger Group about the acquire of the industrial assets of Masisa Argentina, Thomas Leissing, spokesman for the group's board of directors, presented back in August in the City of Buenos Aires, the plans that the company developed for the domestic market and the projection of its operations within Latin America. Leissing also confirmed that Egger Argentina started its activity October 1, becoming the group's first subsidiary outside Europe.
