Redwood market declines in China
According to timber traders in Dacheng County, Hebei China's redwood market is in crisis. Demand for redwood furniture has fallen sharply. Chinese consumers now have little interest in redwood furniture because prices are too high, because of this traders find they cannot move stocks. In particular stocks of Myanmar padauk are very high. Traders say that it will be difficult to revive demand in the short term and are facing huge losses on the high priced stocks.
