EGGER expands capacity in Germany
This month the EGGER Group has inaugurated a new lamination line at its German plant in Gifhorn, Lower Saxony. EGGER has invested approximately 15 million Euro in the expansion and has thus increased production capacity by 6 million m2. With the start-up of the new press, the total capacity of the plant has now reached 33 million m2. The new investment is a continuous laminate press (CPL = Continuous Pressed Laminates). It was built by Hymmen and is the seventh lamination line for the Lower Saxony plant. The integrated cooling section allows for the production of high-gloss laminates. At 1,310 mm, it has the same working width as the previously installed line (start-up end of 2011), but a pressing zone that is almost twice as long.
