Hyne Timber expands its glue laminated timber capacity in Queensland
Hyne Timber has announced a significant expansion to its Glue Laminated Timber (GLT) manufacturing capability in Maryborough, Queensland. Construction of the new plant is expected to commence within a matter of weeks. The new state-of-the-art manufacturing plant will accompany the existing plant in Maryborough’s Industrial Estate which is now in its 40th year of production. Recruitment of a range of specialist roles will commence well ahead of plant commissioning, with more operational and specialist jobs created as production scales up. The announcement also presents research and development opportunities for new, innovative products and solutions which wouldn’t have otherwise been commercially viable.
