Finnish Ha-Sa acquires Metsä Group’s Eskola sawmill
Finnish sawmill Haapajärven Saha Ha-Sa (Ha-Sa) has acquired Metsä Fibre's Eskola Sawmill in Kannus in Finland. Metsä Fibre is part of Finnish Metsä Group. The acquisition covers the properties and business operations of Eskola Sawmill. The sawmill's 33 employees will be transferred to Ha-Sa. Ha-Sa estimates that the sawmill's annual production will increase to roughly 70,000 cubic metres from the current 50,000 cubic metres.
