FLEGT-VPA to boost Vietnamese timber products exports to the EU market
The signing of the Forest Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade Voluntary Partnership Agreement (FLEGT-VPA) between Vietnam and the European Union is expected to have a positive impact on the country’s economy and environment. Phạm Văn Điển, deputy director general of the Vietnam Administration of Forestry spoke on the agreement’s implementation in an online dialogue that also addressed challenges and opportunities for the forestry industry. The session was held by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and Nông thôn Ngày nay (Countryside Today) newspaper in Hà Nội on Wednesday.
