France: Oak and beech logs exports to China more than triple in Q1/2017
During the first quarter of 2017, the hardwood logs exports from Europe to China tripled and reached a total of 2,6 million m3, 263% more than in the same period last year. The bulk of exports came from France. Deliveries to China grew by 560%, from 321,061 m3 in the Q1/2016, to 2,1 million m3 in 2017. Also, Germany sent 3% more hardwood logs to China, reaching a volume of 149,443 m3, followed by Belgium, which exported 88% more hardwood logs, to a volume of 145,673 m3.
