Only 4 months went between the order and the start of the installation in Baruth. “For the first time, HOLTEC was chosen as supplier by KLENK because they convinced us with their innovative solutions,” – says Bernd Ebert, plant manager in Baruth. HOLTEC supplied a completely new log yard for short logs up to the remaining sorting conveyor. Integral part of the line is a double shaft butt-end-reducer and a crosscut saw for overlength. The separation system is equipped with the HOLTEC chain-less conveying system – a double acting step conveyor which can separate and allocate 30 logs/min. Acceleration and dynamical gap optimization are accomplished by V-rollerways. All these units are working completely without chain drives and stand out due to their low operating... Continue reading
