London timber business aquired by Grafton Group
Grafton, the builders’ merchant and DIY company has bought T Brewer, a London-based specialist timber business. No official data on the amount that has been invested in the new business has been disclosed, according to The Irish Times. T Brewer had £14 million earnings in 2015 and it supplies London and home counties with timber products. The company, established in 1988, trades from from three branches in Clapham, Enfield and Amersham. This acquisition of Grafton will provide the company with great opportunities, since Grafton is now facing a disadvantaged balance sheet. Thus, the company wants to expand and make profitable growth. Grafton also owns a number of existing operations in the UK and Belgium and runs the Woodie’s chain across Ireland. They have recently bought Isero, the Dutch tool distributor, for €91.5 million.
