Slower pace in US softwood lumber prices
Softwood lumber trading geared down from a faster pace earlier in the month, with traders citing inclement weather as the primary factor. Another snowstorm sweeping across the Midwest and Northeast kept those regions in the deep freeze, while rain continued to drown out demand in the South. Holidays Monday in both the U.S. and Canada got the week off to a slow start, and trading failed to gain momentum.
