Wood auctions in Romania reveal a 30% price increase

In the fall of 2013, Romsilva, the Romanian Forestry Agency, organized auctions in different parts of Romania for approximately 4,3 million m³ of wood (43% of the annual production). From the total volume auctioned 3,7 million m³ were purchased. The average auction starting price was 112 lei/m³ (EUR 24,76) and the final average purchase price was 159 lei/m³ (EUR 35,15).
