Rising sawlog prices in Sweden in 2014
In 2014, Swedish sawlog prices rose, while pulpwood prices fell in comparison to 2013. Moreover, statistics for the fourth quarter of 2014 show an increase in prices when compared to the previous quarter. Totally, in SEK terms, sawlog prices rose (delivery timber) in Sweden by five percent in 2014 compared to the year 2013. There was an increase in the regions of Central and Southern Sweden by seven percent while prices in the region Northern Sweden fell by five percent.
