Record profits for the British timber industry
Data from Britain's Structural Timber Association (STA) shows a record number of orders for the UK's timber sector last year, with some organisations doubling their business, according constructionindex.co.uk. STA suggests that some members had seen sales increase as much as 163% and by 84% in the last three months. STA says that there had been growth across all structural timber materials, from timber frame to structural insulated panels (SIPs) and cross-laminated timber (CLT).
