Koskisen’s sawmill volumes jump 43% but high log costs squeeze margins

Finnish wood products group Koskisen increased sales sharply in the first half of 2026, helped by substantially higher sawn timber deliveries, but the additional volume translated into much less profit as expensive logs and weaker by-product prices continued to squeeze the sawmill business.  Group revenue reached €209.4 million in January-June, up 19% from €176.0 million a year earlier.
