Increasing global demand for American hardwoods
In January, exports of North American hardwoods have performed well worldwide. Demand in China and Vietnam was high despite the Chinese New Year and Vietnamese Tết holidays. Exports to Taiwan have also increased, while the Japanese market was stable. On the contrary, demand in Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia has declined.
