Higher European purchases of Chinese plywood
The decline in EU plywood imports from China recorded last year has been reversed in the first four months of 2014. With an overall European positive trend in imports of plywood (+6% in January-April), backed by rising purchases from major suppliers such as Russia (+16%) and Brazil (+12%), China has exported plywood worth EUR 119 million to Europe, an increase of 4% against January-April 2014.
