Germany’s wood pellet prices fall in May, production hits record Q1 high
Wood pellet prices in Germany dropped sharply in May 2025, even as domestic production reached a record high for the first quarter. According to the German Pellet Institute (DEPI), the average price per tonne of pellets fell 7.9% from April to €315.89, continuing a downward trend driven by ample supply and moderate demand.
