Germany: Volume of bark beetle damaged wood expected fall by 17 million m3 in 2022
According to the latest statistics, in 2021, Germany's logging of damaged timber will drop to 43 million cubic meters, which is much lower than last year's 60.1 million cubic meters. In 2020, a total of 80.4 million cubic meters of wood were cut in German forests, of which 74.75% were damaged wood.
