Germany: The price of wood pellets at low summer levels

In July, the price of wood pellets in Germany is at seasonal low levels. One tonne of wood pellets currently costs 231.28 EUR on average.

Compared to the previous month, the price is has only slightly declined by 0.3%. The price advantage over heating oil is about 11 percent, while over natural gas by 20%.

The price of German wood pellets in July 2017 has the following regional differences: In central Germany, the price of wood pellets currently stands at 230.02 EUR/t. In southern Germany, the same amount costs 230.78 EUR/t and in northern Germant 231.93 EUR/t.

Larger quantities were traded at the following rates in July 2017: South: 217.72 EUR/t, Center: 217.08 EUR/t; North/East: 215.43 EUR/t (all including VAT).
