German Pellets' Woodox subsidiary files for insolvency

Woodox, a German Pellets GmbH subsidiary in Leipzig, filed for insolvency on 30th of March, at a local court. Woodox owned the following pellet production plants in Germany: Sachsen GmbH in Löbau; Sachsen-Anhalt Nord in Oranienbaum-Wörlitz and Sachsen-Anhalt Süd GmbH in Osterfeld.
Prof. Dr. Lucas F. Flöther from Flöther & Wissing has been appointed provisional insolvency administrator for all three plants. The three pellet production plants have a 75,000 tons production capacity and are operated by German Pellets. Also, back in December 2015, the German Pellet Vertriebs GmbH (MPV) adopted the exclusive distribution of all three plants.
At the moment, there are 11 companies owned by the German Pellets group that filed for insolvency.
German Pellets GmbH filed for insolvency on the 10th of February at the regional court of Amtsgericht Schwerin, Germany and lawyer Bettina Schmudde from Kanzlei White & Case law firm was appointed as provisional insolvency administrator in the insolvency proceedings.
