German furniture sales drop in 2013

The turnover of the German furniture industry has declined by -3,7 percent in 2013. Dirk Uwe Klaas, the managing director of the German Federation of the furniture industry (VDM), says that 528 medium-sized furniture companies had sales in 2013 worth EUR 16,1 billion. This is EUR 600 million less than in 2012 (EUR 16,7 billion).
