Fuel prices forcing shutdowns, threaten entire US timber supply chain
Skyrocketing, record-breaking diesel fuel prices are forcing some logging and trucking operations to shut down. More shutdowns will follow. Fuel was once 25 per cent of the operational cost of running a truck, now it is up to 60 per cent plus.
