First shipments of New Zealand’s radiata pine logs to China expected in mid-May

After nearly a month of strict lockdown, forest industry businesses in New Zealand has restarted activity, after the Government moved the Covid-19 alert from level 4 to level 3. At the end of April, the logging and shipping of New Zealand's logs is expected to gradually begin the recovery. According to industry insiders in China, it is estimated that the first New Zealand shipments of radiata pine will arrive before May 20. 10-15 ships are expected to arrive to Chinese ports, while last year the average was of 45 ...
