Exports of pellets and wood chips decline sharply in Sweden
In 2013, Sweden's exports of pellets declined by 17 % to 285 000 m³f ub (cubic metre solid volume excluding bark), while imports rose by 40 % to 1.1 million m³f ub compared to 2012, the Swedish Forest Agency reports. Denmark is a major importer of Swedish pellets. Imports of pellets have increased mainly from Russia, Latvia and Estonia.
