According to the latest data released by China's General Administration of Customs, the country's total timber imports exceeded US$3 billion in the first quarter of 2024, a decrease of 3.05% year-on-year, and a 4.2% increase in imports sequentially from the fourth quarter of 2023; the total volume of imports reached 15.56 million cubic meters, a decrease of 1.47% year-on-year, which was lower than the market's expectations.
