China’s logs and lumber imports set record-high increases in 2017
China's softwood and hardwood logs imports grew by 42% during the last 5 years, while the lumber imports jumped even more, by 81%, during the mentioned period. Also, the country's role as the driver of global timber demand is set to fundamentally change over the next decade, RISI reports in the China Timber Supply Outlook.
