Swedish sawmilling group Karl Hedin expands drying capacity at its Toftan sawmill in Estonia

Estonian AS Toftan, a subsidiary of the Swedish sawmilling group Karl Hedin AB, has ordered six Drive-through Chamber kilns type HCHD from Heinola Sawmill Machinery Inc. with annual capacity of ca. 130,000 m3 when drying 25 mm spruce to 14 % final moisture content.
The drying kilns can be used for drying of pine and spruce timber with thicknesses of  25 – 75 mm from sawn green timber to the final moisture of 8 – 18 %.
