The total stocks of coniferous sawlogs, pulpwood and wood chips is estimated to amount 8.4 million m³ (cubic metres solid volume excluding bark) as of 31 December 2015. This is a decline by 5%, compared with the same time frame as last year, as the Swedish Forest Agency reported.
Stock volumes of coniferous sawlogs is estimated to amount 3.0 million m³. Compared with same time frame in 2014, this represents a 11% decrease.
The total stocks of pulpwood amounted to 4.6 million m³ as of 31 December 2015, which represents a 2% decline compared to the same time frame of 2014. As per assortment, pulpwood stocks was: 3.0 million m³ of mixed coniferous, 0.7 million m³ of spruce and 0.9 million m³ of broadleaved. Stock of spruce pulpwood increased by 30%.
The stock volumes of wood chips is estimated to amount 0.8 million m³. This is a decline by 18% compared to 31 December 2014.
