IKEA opens Poland’s largest sawmill
Swedish furniture giant IKEA on Tuesday opened Poland's largest sawmill in the south eastern city of Stalowa Wola. Its processing capacity is of 400,000 m3 of logs per year, and the lumber produced will be mainly used in IKEA factories in Poland and Slovakia. "Poland is a very important country, also when it comes to production. It offers good quality raw materials, qualified staff and high production efficiency, and is also close to major markets in Europe "- said Henrik Andersson, manager of the Division of Solid Wood at IKEA Industry.   ...
